Well I talked with a few guys on the hernia complications pages of FB. The had problems with their open mesh repairs. Several had to have the mesh removed and now live with constant pain. I think that rules out mesh for me. The Picasso shouldice repair seems to be the consensus choice of doctors. So maybe its the safe play. I still don’t understand how the Desarda repair holds up. And Dr, Grishkan has written that it is a flawed repair. How does this flap that gets cut from the hip stay in place and not become disconnected? Kang implies that the piece of flesh can lose blood supply and die. Yunis says this isn’t so. This leaves Kang – who many say just does a Marcy repair which will not hold up over time in an adult per Dr T. Pinto curious why you selected Kang over shouldice -given that shouldice seems like the repair with the best evidence. Has anyone here had a desarda? The one guy who posted Casimir – now has a fb page devoted to debunking the repair. This is such a nightmare
