    Three different questions…
    1. I addressed this in my previous post.. But curious as to whether or not there is a “window” of time, post surgery where infection (mesh related) will typically present itself? .. And is there a time period where the chances significantly decrease?
    2. It seems as though many “chronic pain” suffering is a result of inguinal repair as opposed to some of the other hernia presentations? Is this simply because the number of these procedures are greater? Or is it anatomical?
    3. Exercise/quality of life post openventral/incisional repair with mesh and component separation.
When could I expect to return to most normal activity… Assuming no complications?

    Appreciated!

    Infection question?

    1. Majority of infections from surgery present within first two weeks. After that it’s very rare but can still happen.
    2. It’s anatomical.
    3. Hard to answer. Depends on the complexity of the repair and each individual patient. In general, with a simple repair, should be getting better after 3 days to two weeks.
