I had surgery October 18-2019. I experienced dull testicle ache immediately and some discomfort in the abdomen. The surgeon said this would go away with time. I slowly started feeling better (around a month after surgery) to where I didn’t notice any discomfort. I started working out by cardio on treadmill and lifting dumbbells to strengthen shoulders. Slowly a dull ache in my right testicle returned and I dialed back working out. Then I threw up six times around two weeks ago. Ever since I have ceased all work out and the dull ache in the right testicle remains. Seems worse when I’m sitting down. Is this normal? Have I gotten another hernia or did the mesh get messed up? The hernia was moderate and right above the penis to the right. I’m just worried that I haven’t seen much improvement in almost two weeks.

Can be the mesh. It can cause inflammatory reaction that irritates the spermatic cord.

Can be the technique. Sometimes surgeons use a keyhole technique or are aggressive in their handling of tissues, resulting in testicular pain because the nerves in the spermatic cord are irritated.

imaging and examination by a hernia specialist are key.

    Hi there
exactly what type of surgery did you have? Inguinal? Open or laparoscopic? What type of mesh, if any?
