Are there any Kaiser doctors who specialize in mesh removal (and non-mesh repair)?
Looking for a Kaiser doctor who specializes in mesh removal and non-mesh hernia repair. Do any exist? I’m in Northern California, but willing to travel. In my research on mesh removal, I have not found any mention of Kaiser doctors doing this. I did read on this forum about a Kaiser surgeon in Oakland who is their “go-to” doctor for post inguinal hernia repair chronic pain, but there was no mention of his experience with mesh removal or non-mesh repair. I don’t know if it will come down to my needing the mesh removed, but it’s a realistic possibility, as it has been over four months since my surgery and there has been no improvement over at least the least 2 ½ months. If I do need it, I don’t want anyone but a surgeon very experienced in mesh removal doing it, and if Kaiser doesn’t have anyone that qualifies . . .
