Best Urologists for BPH Diagnosis
I have some symptoms of BPH and in search of Urologists that are best at diagnosing BPH. I understand the importance of resolving any potential BPH issues BEFORE I move forward with my inguinal hernia repair. I’ve read clear warning from Dr Towfigh and others pointing out the importance of this to prevent BPH causing the hernia repair to be compromised.
So PLEASE provide any names, suggestions for my urologist search. Perhaps there is a urology forum as resourceful as herniatalk…so far I have not found one.

Most urologists deal with BPH. It is not a complex problem to diagnose. It Involves an ultrasound, physical examination, and a good history about how many times you have to get out of bed at night to urinate, the urinary stream flow, etc.
