      Am 79 old male and had an Umbilical hernia repair 15 years ago. Now having a groin hernia repair done to my right side. Have been experiencing discomfort at protruded belly button, sharp small pain on touching clothes etc and some pain to lower abdomen with bloating. Is this related and will it clear up on groin hernia repair?

      Hi Bob P,

      Have you had an evaluation of your umbilicus? I wonder if you have a hernia recurrence.
