  • Cortizone Shot – Ok or risky?

    Good afternoon,

    Is it safe to have a cortizone shot into a my groin due to a suspected mesh irritation issue? Will the injection degrade the materials or run a risk of longer-term damage?

    I have one scheduled for this Monday.

    I have had a few consultations about mesh removal already, but the timing is not right, as I have a 2 year old and another one on the way. Can’t afford the downtime. In the meantime, I was considering this just to see how it goes. However, I don’t want to take a risk of further damage. Anybody have an informed opinion on the matter?

    A steroid injection is safe and might provide significant relief.
