    I was wondering if anyone knows what the costs would be to have mesh removed in the US. I’m in Canada and have been trying to get my mesh/plug removed for some time. In order to get this paid for by the Canadian government will be a hard battle to win so I am considering paying out of pocket.

    Thoughts?

    I had an open inguinal hernia repair in January of 2010 using a Bard Perfix Plug Mesh.

    See the other posts in response to your question. Most of us offer discounted cash rates for those without insurance coverage. I’ve provided letters for Canadians to fight their insurance to help reimburse but I don’t think anyone has been successful.
