Cutting Genitofemoral Nerve During Shouldice Repair ?
I was wondering if anyone had heard that during the Shouldice technique for an inguinal hernia (on women) that the genitofemoral nerve has to be cut? I was told that it has to be cut in order to prevent it from being entrapped. I got this information from Dr Reinhorn who does the shouldice technique and not from shouldice itself.

None of the nerves have to be cut during the repair.
