  • Direct hernia with no bulge=no hernia?

    If a direct hernia is reduced and the bulge just doesn’t occur anymore afterwards is it fair to say that the hernia is gone although the muscle wall might still be weak? There seems to be consensus that hernias can only become bigger but I am wondering if there is a minority of cases where the muscles/fascia did get back their tension and strength…

    Just because there is no bulge doesn’t mean there is no hernia.

    But we go by clinical symptoms.
