Being that you are leaders in your field …. can u please let us know why plasma rich fibrin or other growth factors has not been used with tissue repairs or absorbable meshes to improve outcome

PRP is super expensive and not covered by insurance. The cost would be more than most pay in network for their hernia repair.
Also, there have been no studies that validate use of PRP on a regular basis for most procedures.

In addition to the repair wether it be tissue repair and especially absorbable mesh

I guess that is my question… why is it not used to at least promote healing and have angiogenesis speed up the healing process… is their any negative I guess I am asking as in could the cell promotion create any negative effect as well

Those products promote healing, but would not close a hernia.
