Hernia on ultrasound no lump
Hi I have had chronic pelvic pain for the last year, it feels like a red hot poker had been inserted in the inguinal area , worse when I am sitting and after activity, less when standing . I had an ultrasound that showed . It is totally ruling my life.
, “ Ultrasound findings;, Rt groin examined with patient coughing, straining and performing, Valsalva., There is a reducible Rt inguinal canal hernia demonstrated measuring, 14.1mm x 9.3mm in diameter and containing mesenteric fat tissues., No femoral hernia noted., Multiple prominent benign looking reactive lymph nodes seen in Rt, groin., “
I saw a surgeon who examined me and found no lump , he said I had no hernia and so could do nothing and the pain was caused by my other problems ( chronic UTI).
any thoughts on this please, do I seek a second opinion or is he correct?
