HerniaTalk **LIVE** Q&A with Dr David Josephson 10/13/2020
This Tuesday on HerniaTalk **LIVE**, our Q&A will be with Guest Panelist, Dr. David Josephson. Dr. Josephson is a highly skilled urologist in Los Angeles with special interest in the prostate. Why is this relevant to hernias? Because every single male is at risk for enlargement of the prostate, and other prostate disorders.
Enlargement of the prostate may be the cause of your hernia symptoms, and treatment will not only reduce your hernia symptoms but also reduce the risk of hernia recurrence after hernia surgery. Sometimes other prostate disorders (prostatitis, cysts, etc.) can be the cause of male chronic pelvic pain.Every male that I see in my office gets a full history of their urinary habits. Straining to urinate is a treatable and preventable risk factor for hernias. Failure to address an underlying prostate problem not only increases the risk of hernia recurrence, but also places the patient at risk for urinary retention (can’t urinate) after hernia surgery. You really don’t want that to happen!
When: Tuesday, October 13, 2020, 4:30 pm Pacific (GMT -7)
