How can I find out if I have a hidden hernia?
Quick Facts:
Female, 51 yrs, BMI of 43
Portland OR area
Umbilical hernia diagnosed December 2016
Gallbladder removed in 2006 (scar at navel)Intense, debilitating, stabbing groin pain since August 2016. Right side, has seemed to spread into the lower belly region. I can see the umbilical hernia, but I suspect my pain may be from something hidden.
Are there any Portland area doctors who work with female hernia patients? So far my health care provider has been unable to identify the source of my pain after 2 MRIs (ight hip and lumbar spine) and a cortisone shot in my right hip. I cannot work, clean my house, or walk/sit/stand without alarming discomfort. Only relief is lying down. I hope I’ve provided enough info.

How can I find out if I have a hidden hernia?
We have tons of posts here on hidden or occult hernias, including references and articles that you can read.
Also, we have had many in Oregon that we have been able to help. Their names can also be searched on this site by looking for Oregon as your keyword.
