How long will this post op fluid bulge last?

Had open surgery two weeks ago. Haven’t had one minute of pain, but over the first week the accumulation of fluid caused a lemon sized bulge under the incision. It was aspirated at the one week post op checkup… and then again the next day. It’s a week later, and I still have an egg sized bulge 🙁 Any ideas on when it will go away and I’ll look normal again?

How long will this post op fluid bulge last?

It will take a couple of months for your own body to completely resort the fluid.
Massage it daily and that may help expedite the process.
It usually goes away on its own.
