    For the most part, with some technical details being left out, direct and indirect hernias are treated similarly, with mesh and without mesh.
    laparoscopic suturing is not performed as the angle and technical expertise required is complex.
    robotically, I do perform suture only hernia repairs

    [USER=”935″]drtowfigh[/USER] Do you mean that indirect hernias are generally stitched up with suture, not like a Shouldice etc., and they cannot be done laparoscopically?

    Yes.

    re laparoscopy: no.
    but I do offer robotic non mesh repair for inguinal hernias.
