laparoscopy without mesh?
In FDA link https://www.fda.gov/medical-devices/implants-and-prosthetics/hernia-surgical-mesh-implants
it says that“Laparoscopic – The surgeon makes several small incisions in the abdomen that allow surgical tools into the openings to repair the hernia. Laparoscopic surgery can be performed with or without surgical mesh.”
I thought laparoscopy was only/mostly used with meshes…any idea which tissue only repair can be done with laparoscopy?
