I’m new to this forum (what a wonderful resource for hernia sufferers!). I’m a 36 yr old female with a left Inguinal hernia. I have mild symptoms associated with the hernia but I noticed my lower abdomen (appx 4-6 inches above hernia) gets tender at times. Is this normal? I don’t want to overlook something thinking it’s just a hernia symptom.

Lower abdominal tenderness

Infrequently, I have patients with pain that radiates from their groin up to and toward their belly button.

Is the pain still there? Did you find a cause for it?
