@drtowfigh, how does your clinic deal with a patient’s medical insurance? The Shouldice Hospital web site states that they will help patients submit their insurance claim to their insurance provider, but they require the patient to pay Shouldice directly for any expenses not covered by the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (Shouldice is in Canada). But Shouldice is in Canada. This means that US visitors to Shouldice must pay up front and then get reimbursed by their insurance coverage. Is this the norm? Or do most clinics process and accept payment directly from their patient’s insurance provider?
