Mesh size
I am just wondering, how big must the mesh be? I would expect the smaller the better in terms of possible problems? Do doctors ever mention the inflammation that is triggered by the mesh? Spoke to two surgeons who both mentioned the mesh being inert which is obviously not true…

– 10x15cm for lap, 4×6 inches for open
– smaller is not better. It will just tear or give way.
– synthetic mesh is not inert.
