If there was an injury to the nerves from my inguinal hernia repair could that cause a problem with my back? Or would it be localized to the groin area mostly? Surgeon said small hernias were no where near any of the major nerves but always a possibility of injury.

    Nerve complication question

Yes. If there is a nerve injury in the groin, some patients feel pain along the length of the nerve, which reaches obliquely around the back.

    Nerve complication question

KerryK- i’m not 100% sure either way. But I do know that there are nerves that stemmed from the lumbar region of the spine and come across the inguinal area in the front of the groin.
