  • Not so weird question: Can an inguinal hernia cause everyday digestive problems ?

Aside from the cluster of sudden digestive issues (vomiting, nausea and obstruction of gas/bowel movement) that I’ve read that can happen, G-dforbid, with an incarcerated or strangulated hernia, does an INGUINAL HERNIA cause everyday (over a long period of time) digestive issues like HEARTBURN, occasional Nausea or GAS ? Primary dr didn’t seem to think a hernia would do this. Like to ask patients and dr’s that are tuned into this. thank you.

    Dear Alliej.
It is unlikely that a hernia would cause your symptoms.
I would advise you to see a gastroenterologist.
    Regards.
