Open Repair question
I read Shouldice Hospital will not do surgery if they cant see bump ..bs the cut over .. My question my hernia come up only if i stand up /walk or take a shower but if i lay down it visibly disappear. So how will they do cut if they don’t see anything ..Make me stand up first and do measurements like sewing jacket?:} before i go for surgery ?

You are correct. In my discussion with the Shouldice hospital, they refuse to see patients of mine with imaging documented hernias that don’t have a bulge on examination.
If your bulge is prominent when standing, that’s enough to be treated by them.
