Thx again Dr. Can an occult hernia be more painful or worse than one that is large and bulging? Can the pain also refer to your abdomen below the belly button and in the lower left quadrant?
Thanks again Dr. I have gone to a hernia specialist and he has indicated that I have bilateral inguinalhernias that may be the cause of my pain. Surgery is advised. Could my actions have caused this. It seems highly unlikely and unrelated. I guess I am fearful that i have had hernias for awhile and that fixing them may not be the root of my problem and that the pain will continue. Thoughts?
It is possible you have had hernias for a while and they are now symptomatic. Does not mean that any activities you performed necessarily made them become more symptomatic. It may just be coincidence.
