I am referring this question to all Doctors that are on this forum:
Please respond as I really need your help.
Have you operated open surgery no mesh on elderly patients that required both hernia to be removed?
If yes what are the consequences of doing surgery on 70 years old patient on both sides?
Is the pain level stay the same as during one hernia surgery?
    Is the pain manageable?
Is it prolonging the recovery time? The surgery will be out of state so will it be difficult to travel when both side hernia is being operated at the same time ?
Is there anything to take to consideration when choosing to be operated on both side hernia at once?

Whether or not to repair both sides is a question best answered by your surgeon.
If you are skinny and healthy and the hernias are small, then get bot repaired at the same time.
If you are heavy with large hernias, then repairing one at a time is better.
If one side is tiny, then it may not need to be repaired.
    Regards.
