I’m new here and this is basically my story I’ve had 4 hernia repair surgeries over a period of several years. The last one I had in 2009 just wasn’t right and now they want to remove the mesh. I’m now 60 years old and scared to death to have the surgery. It causes pain and I’ve had several bowel obstructions with ng tubes. My mesh has been recalled. It’s the Atrium C-Qur mesh. The CT just says I have a mass and have referred me to a surgeon. I haven’t been back to see him in almost 3 years. I just don’t know whether I should just leave it alone or should I have it removed. You can actually see it looking at my stomach. The surgeon is in Indianapolis, Indiana and went to Medical School at John Hopkins. Seems impressive. I’m just scared and looking for advice from others who have been through it or need to go through it. My mesh has been recalled also. I tried a lawyer and they found out this particular company won’t pay out unless you have the mesh removed and it’s proven to be faulty. I have so many questions and look forward to hearing others stories and struggles as well.
