Folks you know i have been a huge fan of dr kang for awhile now…ever since my own botched lap tep mesh surgery…reading his words is really like reading the Bible when it comes to hernia surgery…everything he says makes perfect sense. And he backs it up with perfect surgical reviews every time. He humbled me recently with a direct reply to…[Read more]

Chuck started the topic Question for Dr. Kang about kang repair in the forum Hernia Discussion 3 weeks, 6 days ago
Dr Kang.. i know you check in here from time to time and provide great input. Hoping you see this question. I am contemplating mesh removal due to the toxicity of mesh…as well as some burning urination issues that i am certain are related to mesh implantation. I would then come to you for a kang repair of any recurrant hernia. I had a fairly…[Read more]

Does mesh always end up wrapped in the nerves, the spermatic chord and the vas —I see this over an over and over with guys who get a mesh repair…if this is standard…why is ANYONE allowing mesh to be placed in their bodies and why isnt everyone trying to get the mesh they have inside them removed asap…given how dangerous it can be….i…[Read more]

not sure where you are seeing this Adam…i am seeing lots of studies showing lap typically requires a redo in 10 years or less..lap mesh is one of the worst ways to go with hernia surgery

mike if you are going to see kang again can you ask him if he can do a repair over tissue where bard 3Dmaxx mesh removal has taken place…stephen said yes…but i would rather hear it from the man…Good intentions has implied that tissue repairs may not hold on tissue that has had mesh removal performed….

Marc Tucker…had three meshes removed by Berlyansky in a 6 hour operation. His advice is to get the junk out as soon as you can. Its a ticking time bomb. Get it out before you have pain is his advice because once you have pain its too late- its wrapped in the nerves and spermatic chord…what he says makes a lot of sense. Not sure where the…[Read more]
