Walking is an activity that can be resumed after a Hernia repair surgery. Brisk walking can be done but avoid climbing stairs and hill climbing. Avoid jogging and running for at least 1 week after the surgery. Jogging can be started 1-2 weeks after the surgery. It is important to note that while jogging, jog on tracks rather than bumpy or rocky terrain. Abdominal exercises like core training and weight lifting should be avoided for 4-6 weeks.
