  • And no I had no mesh that was adhered to my pelvic bones.

  • Good intentions-

    I had a direct hernia, left iluignal. 90% of the mesh was removed, they had to leave 10% behind which had adhered itself too deeply to my spermatic cord. Pelvic and groin pops and click gets worse and worse everyday. And my geniotfemerol is way inflamed and send pulsating irritation and sometimes pain through my groin and my…[Read more]

    It never got resolved. I had the mesh removed 6 weeks ago and I was fine the first 2 weeks the popping and clicking has come…[Read more]

    Having composite mesh removal surgery with tissue repair in late August with a specialist with Kaiser Permante Oakland. It has been a long journey, many of you have seen my posts. I am trying to stay positive but still very scared of the hospital or if I will even come out of this feeling better. Need as much positive vibes as possible.

  • Dr Towfigh,

    Thank you for the response. That is the issue with KP I cant qualify experience or review. Dr Nguyen is great and has been so kind and accommodating. I am just nervous because I am having trust issues again with Kaiser from how they handled this entire thing, proving to them since week 4 i was having issues. Now my mesh is adhered…[Read more]

    meshagony,

    Thank you for taking the time to reply back to my post. With so much negative posts it is encouraging to hear from someone whom have had a good experience from a removal. I visited Dr Brown last week for a formal intake and he assessed me and as very detailed and kind. It was amazing the care he took and he took the time to explain…[Read more]

    • Sorry for my delay. I have very little discomfort compared to what I had before. Maybe I have a little nerve pain but it’s not enough to worry about. I can get through my day without ever feeling uncomfortable. My spermatic cord survived, but honestly, I would have given my right nut… no pun intended. There is fear with every surgery but my…[Read more]

  • Good intentions,

    One of the issues is I am a hugely active person, exercising everyday so it is hard to moderate for sure. So I am hoping that a shouldice procedure would be a great way to get this poisoned mesh out of me.

    Its all about finding the right doctor where I wont lose all my savings as well.

  • Hello, everyone out there. I was wondering if anyone has had a non-mesh surgery/tissue repair with any of the following surgeons and your outcome and experience with them;
    Dr William Brown from Fremont , Ca
    Dr. Shirin Towfigh from Beverly Hills, CA
    Dr David Khang Nguyen Oakland, Ca ( studied with Dr David Chen out of UCLA)
    I really could use…[Read more]

    • Dr. Brown removed my hernia mesh in October of 2019. My experience had its challenges but it was well worth it and I would recommend him to anyone.

      These were my symptoms as I had logged them in 07/2019;
      lots of flank pain, groin pain, hip/leg pain. left leg goes numb, knee goes cold especially when I wear elastic or heavier clothing such as…[Read more]

  • jkirby,

    Good evening. It was kinda a miracle that I found your post tonight. I myself are looking for another surgeon to correct a left inguinal mesh surgery I had back in August 2019. As well I am in talks with Dr. Brown who I am making arrangements to visit in the next week or so to discuss a non-mesh hernia repair. The first surgery did not…[Read more]

  • I had my left inguinal hernia repair 5 months ago and I have been suffering from lower back pain often now.

  • To deeoeraclea,

    From what I have gathered from speaking with my doctor and other specialists non-mesh repair has to be done non-lapro, and even with removal that is generally how it appears to be done.
