Since tissue repair seems to be the more complicated repair and requires more movement of the anatomy is it more likely to require dissection of nerves/cremaster vs. mesh?

Losing employment/health insurance at end of the year. If possible, would like to address a fairly large left side hernia by that time. I am late 50’s/slender/good health. Not sure of hernia type.
