about 3-4 months notices rt groin bulge… so I see my go and confirms a hernia and sends me a general surgeon… I go to surgeon number 1 he wants to plug and patch.. after everything I have read I am not to fond of the plug and plus he does only 50/ year not a vote of confidence for me… so i go to surgeon #2 he wants a robotic lap procedure with 3D max and 2 sutures he says and does about 60 a year… so i go to #3 and he wants to do lap with with paritex and vicryl dissolvable tacks…but here’s the kicker he does the finger test on the left side as well and says you have bilateral indirects and stop working out… the other surgeon said it was a direct and unilateral… so I am like is there anyway anyone of you surgeons want to image the areas to confirm… additionally I tell him I am allergic to rubber material and spandex… do you think it’s wise to do allergy testing to the material first and he says not necessary… what do you guys think… I’m just thinking about heading to belansky, yunis, or towfight and get it handles there but that had its own challenges

Keep looking.Find one that will do imaging to detect your hernias.Mine were so small it took a CT Scan and Ultrasound to detect them.If you can I would see Dr. Towfigh in a heartbeat or one of the other specialist that are mentioned on here.50-60 repairs a year=not experienced enough in my book.Yes allergy tests should be done especially if one has existed in the past.I have found as you age your body changes.
For example,I never was caffeine sensitive until I was about 37.Same thing with latex.I was fine until about a year and a half of automotive school…I started getting itchy/rashes from gloves.Same thing with alcohol too lol.So you never know what and when your body might reject something.Remember you know your body better than anyone.I just saw a doctor today that blew me off.So next one tomorrow…..it gets very frustrating.
