    I have a bilateral Inguinal hernia. Is it okay to live with the hernia for a few years? My left side Inguinal Hernia hurts in the morning when I wake up. The right one, hardly ever. Currently I wear a hernia belt.
    I am aware of the possibility of a strangulated bowel, but am willing to take my chances. I guess it is possible for the hernia to get larger, I don’t know?
    I don’t want mesh, and if an open hernia repair fails, I don’t know what my options are after a reocurrence.
