Bilateral inguinal hernia, but my symptoms are higher than the groin?
So I’ve been diagnosed with a small reducible fat containing bilateral inguinal hernia via ultrasound, but I feel the symptoms like the pain and bulging higher up like right under my ribcage, mainly on the left side. This confused my surgeon as he said I should be feeling this lower like in my groin area since they are inguinal hernias. He ordered me an abdominal CT scan, it showed no problems at all in my abdomen. I meet with him in a couples days, on Oct. 6 to discuss this. Is it normal for symptoms of inguinal hernias to travel higher up in the body? Could it possibly be a cord lipoma? Do those show on CT scans? What should I ask my surgeon when I see him on the 6th?
