Anyone ever experience pudenal nerve entrapment with their mesh.

I get burning between my scrotum & rectum. It goes away if I can sleep for long periods. It keeps coming back and sometimes keeps me awake.

I just had laparoscopic hernia repair w Bard 3D mesh 6 weeks ago. It’s still early but this started happening during week 3. It’s definitely a compressed nerve. I think pudenal.

It’s been 6 weeks. You’d still be in the mesh/tissue ingrowth and shrinkage phase. Your expectations for immediate return to pain-free action seem way too high but, on the other hand, that is what the typical patient is sold. No surgeon will be doing any surgical procedures on you at just 6 weeks.

And that that space you’re talking about is called the perineum. You’ve probably seen pharma ads about perinum inflammation/pain being a side-effect of various drugs.

Also, it’s pudendal nerve, not pudenal.

Good luck. Wait and don’t overdo things and you might come out okay in the long run.

      Thanks Good Intentions,

No pain today. Slept 12 hrs last night.

My buddy told me his balls were swelled for 3 months after bilateral laparoscopic and didn’t return to normal for 1 year. Another guy was pretty sore for over six months but after a year was good.

Maybe it’s just as I get feeling better I get active. The day before I walked a few miles, stairs, & weightlifting. That night burning till eventually I couldn’t sleep. Then once I did get a good sleep the pain went away.

I hope you’re right. I might get some melatonin or something. Nerve pills can be addictive so I don’t want to be taking them to sleep. However sleep does wonders for me.

Chronic pelvic floor pain. My physician thinks I’m experiencing that. It comes and goes. But sometimes it’s intense. Yesterday was intense. Today nothing.

But the day before walked a few miles, 200 stairs, bench press, arm curls, triceps, pull-ups. Then later burning. Right on my bottom. Couldn’t sleep much. Last night took some meds slept 12-14 hrs. Today no pain.
