I was seen by my primary practitioner who said she felt a hernia inguinal on right side on March 28. Immediately said she would not schedule any ultrasound but reffered me to surgical consult. Since then I have had pain radiating into my leg/hips and back, severe stomach cramps, nausea for a week, and obvious pain in the groin region. I am curious as if I should make a trip to the ER OR wait till my consult tomorrow at noon April 5th

    7th hernia

A surgeon can diagnose most hernias without need for imaging prior to seeing them.

This site does not determine need for emergency care. That should be up to your needs and the physician who can physicially examine you
