Being of Italian descent & speaking to many other patients that have mesh reactions/complications like I do, I’ve noticed a theme. It seems that mostly patients of Mediterranean heritage are more prone to mesh reactions.

So my question is, has anyone else noticed this at all?

If not, then are there any specific genetic predictors or correlations with who will or will not be more likely to have mesh reactions/rejection?

I hope more interest or research is focused on this subject in the future since genetics seem to determine almost everything in a person’s health… also I hope the title doesn’t offend anyone.
