    can anyone comment on whether it is safe to place sutures into the periosteum of the pubic tubercle and pubic body. I need my disrupted/avulsed aponeurotic plate reattached to the pubic bone for my sports hernia/atheltic pubalgia. Or will these sutures be a source of greater pain than my current pain

    @joseph
    The sutures in the periosteum can be a source of pain, especially if tied too tightly. But if necessary the periosteum can used as part of the repair of an inguinal hernia.
