Bard mesh plug right groin remove? Or not to?
I am looking to remove my hernia mesh.
Don’t get me wrong I take everything at par. I research everything and until I am sure it is the right decision I won’t operate.
I do follow all of these groups and appreciate everyone’s experiences and how others are managing post removal.
I am not a doctor but I can tell you I have been researching everything about hernias and Mesh!
somedays I wake up with stabbing pain in my groin and can barely walk because of that pain along with lower back pain and a pushing pain near my groin
I know others on here understand. Oh wait… I also have swelling in my groin and a seroma (fluid/blood sac)
My family and the doctors don’t understand.
In the past 2 years 8 months I have been to 6 surgeons
First one said nothing is wrong And I am making up my pain,
2nd one a year later said it was Mesh.
Third surgeon said go for nerve blocks and go on meds and live like that for the rest of your life.
Fourth surgeon was going to take it out but it is so close to the artery and he doesn’t have the help of a vascular surgeon at his hospital so he turned me down.
Fifth/sixth both saw me and said
Go see a surgeon out of the country for another opinion
because these doctors are:1. Not convinced I will be better
2. They have never met a woman who has a femoral inguinal hernia
3. They have never done this in Canada.
Still have those pains, cannot walk and have not been working
just a quick history
inwas training for a marathon until 2 weeks prior to my emergency surgery. My bowel was caught in the hernia so I needed to have an emergency surgery.
i had a incarcerated inguinal femoral hernia
yup it’s a mouthful!so anyone else have a inguinal hernia near the artery who had the mesh removed?
I have the bard mesh plug. Thanks for lisrening
