"Better mesh" – Alternative prosthetic material designs – Sheila MacNeil
I’ve become aware of somebody working in the field of prosthetics who is taking a different approach to improving the current materials. Rather than just creating a variation of the original knitted mesh, her group has created something based on the fundamentals of the problem at hand.
It’s not hernia repair mesh but the approach is promising.

What do I want less than plastic mesh inserted into my groin? Estrogen-secreting mesh would probably top that list for me…
