• Correlation Between How Painful Hernia Is and Chance of Strangulation?

  Is there a higher chance of hernia strangulation if hernia pain is anything above mildly painful? I wonder if the chances of a strangulated hernia has more to do with pain than size, or perhaps it’s vice versa, or maybe equally important. I’ve been watchfully waiting for like 5 years now and for the last couple of years the hernia pain is worse than it used to be but I’m afraid to get surgery done. It definitely gets worse with certain physical exercises, so if I avoid those then it’s generally not that painful.
