    I don’t understand groin anatomy very well. I looked around for more about the “shutter mechanism” and found a paper from 2017 by Desarda himself. He has his own theory of the cause of hernias, based on the components that make up the internal ring, and refers back to work by people like Bendavid and others. It might help those people here that do understand the anatomy understand the basis for Desarda’s method of repair.
