    Dr. Towfigh,

    When I first joined this forum, I bookmarked a thread and a post where you mentioned that the long term success of a Desarda repair was less concerning for an indirect inguinal hernia repair than it was for a direct inguinal hernia repair.

    A year and a half later, that bookmark no longer works and I can’t find that post with the search function.

    Can you please explain why Desarda repair is more of a concern with a direct inguinal hernia?
