Dr. Peter Billing – hernia repair and mesh removal in the Seattle metro area
I had my TEP implanted Bard Soft Mesh removed by Dr. Peter Billing. He uses laparoscopic TAPP to remove mesh. He also uses this method to implant Ultrapro mesh but, apparently, does not place the very large pieces that many of today’s surgeons do, if I understand him correctly. His practice is a weight loss surgery clinic, not a hernia repair business. He is very conscientious and stays in contact with many of his patients. I still correspond with him occasionally about my progress and other subjects.
Here is a link to his new web site He is well-worth considering if you’re thinking about mesh removal. He has the first-hand knowledge from years of removing mesh to draw from. He also publishes quite a bit so probably has a more scientific thought process than some, I would assume.
Posting this for anyone considering mesh removal. It’s a difficult decision to make, and hard to find good advice.
