Indirect hernias we are born with, direct are caused by lifting, coughing etc. Femoral are rare and 9 out of 10 women.
Watchful waiting is the new way because of so much chronic pain with hernia repair with or without mesh and go to a HERNIA SPECIALIST! Mesh is polypropylene like 3dmax is the worst with a slogan that it’s meant to fit the inguinal canal while no 2 body’s are the same. Polypropylene is never supposed to go on the human body and tha FDA has messed it up for years. In 1974 there’s a loophole that made in possible, it was never tested etc. Therefore we have pigskin mesh, polypropylene heavyweight and lightweight, polyester etc. While suture repairs also cause chronic pain but if I could go back which and to say you get an ultrasound, mri, catscan etc hernias are mostly found on accident and don’t cause pain and emergency surgery of a strangulation is 1%. Go to a hernia specialist to get the real input not a general surgeon. Chronic pain from Mesh always get it removed the same way it was put in and know all surgeons have there thing, some just do open and some are more versatile and know open, robotics, lap etc. Do your research, check the docs reviews, write down questions to ask etc. They say oh don’t be doctor Google lol but it’s good to look up to reviews because doctors we mostly trust but that’s where we make are mistake and it’s a huge one that’ll change your life forever and the ones around you. Like having a dime size indirect hernia and being told by a quack oh it’s never going to go away on its own, your young you’ll heal fast, you’ll have to get it done sooner or later blah blah blah all BS. Some hernias never have to be attended to especially saying oh it’s a dime size hernia I’m going to put 6×4 pieces of something that not supposed to go in you in the first place. It’s intolerable but we trust these people cause they are doctors supposed to help us but as I was told there are good ones and bad ones out there and intinally I got a douchebag. With lap mesh most wake up with both sides done without even know but its because going in there doing both sides doubles there pockets then they say oh just in case or they saw something there lol. Haven’t been on here in awhile just wanted to give some insight. And for Dr. Kang he seems like a good dude but alot of surgeons came on here around the last 6 years for who knows what reason but he seems nice as Dr. Brown did but for an initial surgery which they probably do a great job. Once we get mesh in it alters our pelvis, it shrinks, doesn’t move with us and your pelvis is used for like every moment that’s why I hate they call mesh a non tension surgery lol. It shrinks, migrates, causes bad inflammation, and scar tissue. It pulls on our pelvis cause it doesn’t move with us and polypropylene is what screens from a front door are made from, tops of pop bottles it’s so nasty. It’s a foreign body to our body like tacks are a no no, they were eroding into my pubic bone and therefore there is polygrip etc it’s guinea pig stuff. Think before you get any hernia surgery cause most are not needed and watchful waiting is better than have your pelvis/privates hurting. And for us dudes our soermatic cord gets so encased its just disgusting and not right. Do your research look up docs you are going to and ask question after question, as my removal surgeons or partners Said there are good guys out there and bad guys!
