To those wondering if they may or may not have a sports hernia, inguinal disruption, athletic pupalgia, or the other wide variety of groin / pelvic injuries that can impact people, I wanted to pass along some reported surgeons who are located on the East Coast of the USA who are aware of these injuries and procedures to resolve them.

Confirm yourself if interested, but according to various patient reports on various forms, each of these surgeons performs a tissue repair without mesh for most inguinal / groin injuries.

    – Dr William Meyers – Philadelphia PA

    – Dr Alexander Poor – Philadelphia PA

    – Dr Litwin – UMass MA

    – Dr Brian Busconi – UMass Worcester, MA

    – Dr Andrew Boyarsky – NJ

It is also reported that Dr Meyers and Dr Poor will perform no-mesh tissue hernia repair for regular hernias as well, but I am not certain about the other physicians as well. Apparently, sometimes a “regular” hernia is found when repairing a “sports” hernia, so presumably surgeons would be aware of what to do in such situations.

Hopefully this information will be helpful to some patients.

There may be others, if you are aware of any such surgeons then feel free to add them in.
