Inguinal Hernia in Colorado
Does anyone know of any good no mesh surgeons in colorado? I have a small inguinal hernia which could be indirect or direct or could possibly be an incisional hernia. I want a reliable technique which is why I am considering going to shouldice. I would prefer not to have general anesthesia again if I can help it. I am trying to determine if there is a preferable technique. I would also prefer to use my tummy tuck scar (which was thrown in with my mastectomy) to do an open technique surgery (if that is the best choice).
I am an extremely fit female in her 40’s. I am considering going to Shouldice because I have had a lot of autoimmiune and pain issues and a lot of surgeries and would prefer not to chance any additional chronic pain. I have read now about mesh, shouldice, desarda techniques. Although the Desarda technique is fairly new to me. I am willing to travel but I would prefer not to have to spend a huge amount of money traveling or doing multiple visits. There is someone where I live who says he is 90% confident he can do no mesh but he is retiring at the end of june and I am not sure how reliable his technique is. It is a little daunting to have to spend three nights at shouldice after the surgery and while its reasonably priced, my insurance wont contribute to anything outside the USA. So, if I need treatment after the surgery, I will still have to reach my in network out of pocket maximum
