I need a second opinion. the surgeon says that is a hernia,he did not even look at the ultrasound wtf.

while in the ultrasound no hernia was detected

I do not want to be opened. I am afraid of getting fat and of severe chronic pain. what to do?

it does not hurt me. and I have it 4 years ago

    Dear DailyMail22.
I agree with Good Intentions. If the hernia is not bothering you, then wait until symptoms develop.
If you travel to countries with poor health care, then consider repair.
You are thin and are at increased risk of pain from mesh. If you decide to have surgery, then select a pure tissue repair.

If you’ve had it for 4 years and it hasn’t changed and it doesn’t bother you much, the “watchful waiting” is recommended. Even surgeons with hernias would wait and watch.
