Let’s say a open left inguinal hernia surgery is done with mesh…is it possible for that mesh to migrate across the abdomen and attach to the opposite side spermatic cord..in this case the right side or is that not possible ?

I cant go to the restroom normally…I can’t even pass gas unless I start stretching or lay in certain positions and just hope it allows me to pass gas…when I eat I just get bloated and feel like throwing up cause I cant have a bowel movement

Yes, I have the surgery report and know what was done ..triple neurectomy was done…can’t really tell a difference though….laproscoptic progrip mesh was used on left side …My Numbness in gentials though is coming from my back ..hips and pelvix floor being compressed and constantly pulled and tight..origin of that is coming from my groin cause when I pull my groin to the side it starts to open something up…I can stretch my back and I instantly feel certain parts of my penis and testicles more…doesnt last long but it’s just proof my ED isnt permanent…shit I was having alot of sensation around the 1 month mark after surgery…felt good..then I remember waking up one day and my testicles were high riding and my whole genitals were numb….now I’m 7 months post op and everything is just so bad

You really need to get all of the details of your surgery. There are many many different things that a surgeon can do while they are doing “TEP mesh placement”. Neurectomies, tacks, size of mesh, where it’s placed, etc. They all do different things while they’re in there. “TEP” is a very vague acronym and only describes the procedure in very general terms.

Get the notes from your surgery, don’t rely on what you remember your surgeon telling you. Good luck.

quote Julian:

.I had open left hernia repair in 2017..that mesh migrated..meshoma occured..it ended up wrapping around my spermatic cord. Had sexual dysfunction. Both side of groin went numb….

march of 2019 I had mesh removed and surgeon put in another mesh in laproscopticlly tep…

.surgeon ordered a Pelvic MRI .
he said the mesh is flat and is in correct location but I’m living in hell right now…is removing this progrip mesh an option at this point cause it has to be playing a part in my pain and problems…I’ve been to neurosurgeon…neurologist
been to so many doctors and they cant find an explanation to my problems…

Did the surgeon “examine” the other side during the TEP procedure? TEP creates a very big space, peeling open a large void as the balloon expands. Even if no mesh is placed on the other side the tissue has still been peeled apart and has to heal. Others have reported after-effects from TEP explorations even though no hernia was found and no mesh was placed. It is a very invasive procedure, on the inside. Tiny holes on the outside, large areas of tissue torn apart on the inside. TEP is probably the most invasive the minimally invasive techniques. It’s not really minimally invasive, that is a marketing term.

You might try to consult with Dr. Beltyansky or Dr. Billing. Get the details of your TEP procedure first though. You want to know how much mesh was placed and if the other side was examined.

I had similar tightening and loss of sensation after my bilateral TEP placement of Bard Soft Mesh.

Yes, triple neurectomy was performed on left side but see I have the same level of numbness on the right, but when I stretch or do certain movements it unlocks something and I get more sensation the skin feels warmer..just starts feeling normal but it only last for alittle bit…I get this triple neurectomy numbs the nerves but from my moments of relief or when I open up something in my back/hip I get alot of sensation in the groin…also I was getting alot of sensation in the gentials for a short period of time and that was like 1-2 weeks after neurectomy so the neurectomy isnt playing a part of my current gential and penis numbness…some else is going on

Julian sounds like the numbness is due to neurectomy, do you know if the mesh removal surgeon resected your genitofemoral nerve or if he performed a triple neurectomy?

Dr.towfigh… maybe you can help me..I’m a 23 year old male and I’m currently suffering ..been Suffering the past 2 years especially these past 7 mmonths

.I had open left hernia repair in 2017..that mesh migrated..meshoma occured..it ended up wrapping around my spermatic cord. Had sexual dysfunction. Both side of groin went numb….

march of 2019 I had mesh removed and surgeon put in another mesh in laproscopticlly tep…I was getting somewhat better the first few weeks even tho I was having bad testicle pain on both sides ..I started getting alot of sensation in the gentials ..things were feeling good testicles were hanging nice with no pulling up… but then it just started to reverse and things got bad….now I’m 7 months postop ..my testicles and penis are super numb ..cant feel them really…my pelvic floor is really tight and my testicles are always high riding and theres alot of pressure..when I use the restroom both testicles start pulling in the groin…I have bad constipation and sensation issues with going to the restroom …but it’s all comiing from my groin..something is messing with my cords..which is tighening my pelvic floor which is causing pain and tugging on my butt..back..hips..my whole pelvic posture is totally off…it just a constant hold and walking is just harder cause my pelvic posture is just held in an incorrect position .At times when I have a bowel movement I get alittle bit more sensation in gentials …so this constipation is making things worse…its hard to pass gas..go to the restroom…. my groin is usually numb..both sides…that’s coming from my back and hips being compressed .

when I grab a side of the groin and sort of pull it to the side (towards the hips) …I can just feel something open up..my pelvic floor gets looser..my hips and butt open up alittle bit..my back opens up..walking becomes alot easier… start getting more sensation in penis and testicles

so what’s going on doesnt seem permanent cause theres certain things I can do to loosen up the pressure and pain and even tho its minimal relief It kind of proves that something is pulling or not allowing my groin/pelvic floor / testicles to relax.

.surgeon ordered a Pelvic MRI .
he said the mesh is flat and is in correct location but I’m living in hell right now…is removing this progrip mesh an option at this point cause it has to be playing a part in my pain and problems…I’ve been to neurosurgeon…neurologist
