Mesh removal satisfaction survey
Now that mesh removal is becoming a mainstream surgical procedure the feelings of the patient should be considered after surgery, in the same way that they are after hernia repair.
The ACHQC should collect the same data from patients after mesh removal that they do for patients after mesh implantation. Without collecting that type of data the community of surgeons cannot know if mesh removal is appropriate for their patients.
Mission
“The mission of the ACHQC is to maximize the quality and value of health care for patients who suffer from hernia disease and diseases of the abdominal wall or abdominal core.”
