Pennsylvania Hernia Institute
Does anyone now what happened to the Penn. Hernia Institute (or similar name) that was in a smaller city in Pennsylvania. A few years ago they were quite active now nothing. Did the surgeon retire or what. I tried to reach him by email. From memory starts with Dr. GOod????. thanks.

Dr Goodyear has Retired. He was an amazing resource and actually started the first hernia online discussion forum.

He responded to my email about a year or two ago. Said that he was retired.

THX to good intentions and kaspa for that. I tried emailing him but no reply.

Chief-surgeon explains that they use mesh to have lower recurrence than “Canadian” operation.
I don’t understand the interest and wouldn’t recommend that to informed people.

I’m not sure but I think that I read a couple of years ago that he had retired. But here is a link.
